SIAP - The West Kalimantan Provincial Government appreciates the holding of the opening of the 2024 Multifinance Day
organized by the Association of Indonesian Financing Companies (APPI), in Pontianak City, West Kalimantan.
This was conveyed by the Assistant for the Economy and Development of the Regional Secretariat of West Kalimantan Province,
Ignasius representing the Acting Governor of West Kalimantan, when opening the 2024 Multifinance Day activities at Gaia Bumi Raya Mall, Friday, October 11, 2024.
This event will take place on October 11-13, 2024, which will be attended by around 31 Financing Companies in West Kalimantan Province.

Ignasius said that this event was held as a form of educational activities, literacy and financial inclusion, industry, financing.
In addition, in order to support the financial inclusion month activities, as well as part of the OJK's national financial intelligence program that was launched by the OJK on August 22, 2024, which is also relevant to the 2024 Regional Financial Access Acceleration Team (TPAKD) Program, accelerating the use of non-bank industry service products that are sized according to community needs.
"This activity specifically also supports literacy programs, and business matching financial inclusion programs that target 12 activities," he said.
With the 2024 Multifinance Day event involving 31 financing companies, he said that it does not only sell financing products.
However, it is accompanied by education and literacy for the community, so that they can avoid illegal loans and high interest rates.
"They will also provide a comprehensive explanation including good financial planning for the community to avoid fines," he said.
In the same place, APPI General Chairperson Suwandi Wiranto said that a total of 31 financing companies participated in enlivening the 8th Multifinance Day event held in Pontianak City in 2024.
This activity also aims to educate the public, so that they understand better when they are going to take out a loan.
Suwandi emphasized that it is important for someone who wants to borrow to know clearly who they are borrowing from, and to ensure that the lending company is trustworthy.
"So our goal, one of which is to increase the financial literacy of the community so that before going into debt,
they think carefully and discuss with a lending company that suits their financial capabilities," concluded Suwandi.
Through Multifinance Day, the participants who attended, who were APPI member financing companies,
not only introduced financing products, but also provided education and literacy about the financing industry,
education and literacy about proper financial planning, and shared success stories of financing company debtors, education and literacy about the importance of protecting personal data.
These activities are packaged in the form of Product Knowledge, Multifinance Sessions and other interesting events.
In addition, CSR activities will also be carried out in the form of blood donation, and activities involving the surrounding community such as coloring competitions, fashion show competitions, and others. In Multifinance Day there are also interesting programs from financing companies such as special discounts, installments with special interest, direct prizes without being drawn and other interesting offers.
