Bisnis.com, JAKARTA — PT Astra Sedaya Finance, or Astra Credit Companies (ACC), has outlined two strategies to boost financing for low-cost green cars (LCGC) in 2026.
ACC's EVP of Corporate Communication, Riadi Prasodjo, explained that the main strategy is to focus on strengthening collaboration with dealer partners through optimizing marketing programs and events.
"On the other hand, we also continue to improve the quality of our customer service and implement risk mitigation measures to maintain financing quality amidst market dynamics," he told Bisnis on Thursday (February 19, 2026).
According to Riadi, ACC views the LCGC segment as having the potential to grow in 2026. However, it faces challenges such as consumer purchasing power that has not yet fully recovered, the emergence of preferences for other vehicle segments, and existing competition.
"The company also needs to continue to pay attention to credit quality risks amidst dynamic economic conditions," he said.
Meanwhile, while addressing credit quality risks, ACC's Non-Performing Finance (NPF) in the LCGC segment remained below 1% in January 2026.
Meanwhile, Riadi stated that LCGC car financing at ACC continued to show positive growth compared to the same period the previous year. However, he did not disclose the exact figures.
"LCGC financing still makes a significant contribution to the company's total vehicle financing portfolio," he said.
On the other hand, he also acknowledged that consumer preferences for other vehicle segments are increasingly diverse, such as SUVs and electric vehicles.
"However, we continue to monitor trends and adjust our strategy to optimize our portfolio based on market dynamics," he concluded.
For your information, the Association of Indonesian Automotive Industries (Gaikindo) recorded total wholesale sales of LCGCs in January 2026 at 10,694 units, a 22% year-on-year (YoY) decrease compared to 13,782 units in January 2025.
Conversely, retail sales of LCGCs, from dealers to consumers, reached 9,655 units, also a 25% year-on-year decrease compared to 12,804 units in January 2025.
