KONTAN.CO.ID - JAKARTA. PT BRI Multifinance Indonesia (BRI Finance) recorded a 22.90% year-on-year (YoY) increase in the disbursement of cash loan facilities through August 2026.
BRI Finance Corporate Secretary Aditia Fakhri Ramadhani stated that demand for cash loans continues to show positive growth, driven by public demand for flexible financing solutions for various needs.
"Demand for cash loan financing in the multifinance industry continues to show positive trends," he told Kontan on Tuesday (September 29).
According to Aditia, easy application access via digital channels has also helped drive demand for cash loan financing within the multifinance sector.
Amidst this growth, competition with fintech lending and pawnshop services remains dynamic, as each sector possesses distinct product characteristics and target consumer bases.
"To maintain competitiveness, the company focuses on specific consumer segments by offering products tailored to customer needs, supported by synergies with the BRI ecosystem," he said.
Looking ahead, he anticipates that cash loans will remain a segment with growth potential, while the quality of financing and the application of prudential principles remain top priorities in managing disbursements.
